Tincture Process.

Dual Extraction Method

1. Ashwagandha powder is placed into a glass container and saturated with food grade ethanol for 14 days with daily agitation. This is done to draw the alcohol soluble compounds such as Withanolides, Alkaloids and Flavonoids . After the 14 day mark the liquid is filtered separating the alcohol base from the ashwagandha powder. The alcohol extraction is then set aside and the second part of the process can begin.
2. The same ashwagandha powder used in the alcohol extraction is now placed into a pot and covered with distilled water. This mixture is then simmered on the stove for between 3 & 4 hours to draw out the water soluble compounds such as Polysaccharides. The brew is then removed from the heat source and allowed to cool. Once cooled the brew is then filtered to remove the water base from the remaining ashwagandha powder.
3. The alcohol and water base liquids are now combined and filtered a third time to complete the Dual Extraction process.
