At the moment we only ship orders within South Africa.
When will i receive my order ?
We pride ourselves on processing and shipping an order normally within 1 working day from payment.
Orders are received within 3 - 5 days depending on where you are in South Africa. (Excluding weekends & public holidays).

I'm new to growing mushrooms! Where do i start ?
Research , Research, Research.. There are plenty of online tutorials and Youtube videos showing you how to grow all sorts of mushrooms. Check out our Video Links category to get started.
Decide which type of mushroom you would like to grow. Purchase a liquid culture or spore genetics syringe. Use that mushroom genetics syringe to make grain spawn. Then use the grain spawn to inoculate your substrate.
What is mycelium ?
Mycelium is made of a vegetative dense mass of fine, thread-like filaments of tissue called hyphae.
The above-ground part of the mushroom is the fruiting body whilst the underground root system of the mushroom is called the mycelium.
What is grain spawn ?
Grain spawn is used to expand your liquid culture mycelium syringe out onto multiple grain inoculation points to increase the colonization potential of your sterilized or pasteurized growing substrate.
What is mushroom growing substrate ?
Mushroom growing substrate is the material or substance that provides the mycelium from grain spawn with nutrients, moisture and energy to grow and form mushrooms. Substrates are strain specific. Some mushrooms will grow on straw or a hardwood fruiting block whilst others prefer supplemented coco coir and vermiculite.
What is an easy beginner mushroom to grow ?
We recommend the Pink Oyster mushroom for first time growers. Pink oyster mycelium grows quickly on grains forming grain spawn and aggressively colonizes pasteurized straw. Pink oysters are very tolerant of high and fluctuating temperatures and will pin and form mushrooms with little to no intervention.
Can you advise me on how to grow Psilocybin containing mushrooms ?
South African law currently prohibits the growing of psilocybin containing mushrooms and as such we cannot provide any information for their cultivation. Our Psilocybin genetics are intended solely for microscopy and taxonomy purposes.
What is a Monotub ?
A monotub is a clear plastic container with a lid that is partially filled with a substrate to become a mini fruiting chamber.
A monotub has between 4 & 8 round holes cut out of the sides of roughly 3cm to 5cm in diameter that are covered with micropore tape or polyfil that allows for ventilation and gas exchange.
Monotubs are best suited for top fruiting mushrooms.
What is a Shotgun Fruiting Chamber ?
A Shotgun fruiting chamber is a clear plastic container with a lid that has multiple small holes drilled through each side that allows for fresh air exchange.
A Shotgun fruiting chamber has a layer of moist perlite at the bottom of the container which helps to maintain humidity within the chamber.
A fully colonized fruiting block is placed onto the perlite to pin and grow mushrooms.
